Citat:Eddie James "Son" House, Jr. (March 21, 1902[1][2] – October 19, 1988-) was an American blues singer and guitarist. House pioneered an innovative style featuring strong, repetitive rhythms, often played with the aid of slide guitar, and his singing often incorporated elements of southern gospel and spiritual music.
House was an important influence on Muddy Waters and also on Robert Johnson. A seminal Delta blues figure, he remains influential today, with his music being covered by blues-rock groups such as The White Stripes.[3] Citat:John The Revelator Tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Who's that writin', John the Revelator wrote the book of the seven seals Now God walked down in the cool of the day, and called Adam by his name But he refused to answer, 'cause he was naked and ashamed So, tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Who's that writin', John the Revelator wrote the book of the seven seals Now Christ had 12 apostles, and three he laid away He said "Watch for me one hour, while I go yonder and pray" And tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Who's that writin', John the Revelator wrote the book of the seven seals Mary Margaret they were there, and they heard every word he said Said "Go tell my disciples, I said meet me in Galilee" And tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Who's that writin', John the Revelator wrote the book of the seven seals Who's that writin', John the Revelator Tell me who's that writin', John the Revelator Who's that writin', John the Revelator wrote the book of the seven seals |

Citat:Tampa Red (January 8, 1904[1] - March 19, 1981), born Hudson Woodbridge but known from childhood as Hudson Whittaker, was an influential American musician.
Tampa Red is best known as an accomplished and influential blues guitarist who had a unique single-string bottleneck style. His songwriting and his silky, polished slide technique influenced other leading Chicago blues guitarists, such as Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Nighthawk, as well as Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Mose Allison and many others.[2] In a career spanning over 30 years he also recorded pop, R&B and hokum records. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tampa_Red Citat:Don't you lie to me baby Let's talk it over, baby 'For we start I hear about the way You overdo your part But don't you lie to me Don't you lie to me It makes me mad An I get evil as a man can be There's two kind-a people That I just can't stand An that's a lyin' woman An a sneakin' man But don't you lie to me Don't you lie to me Because it makes me mad An I get evil as a man can be Here's a proposition I will give to you I'll give you all my jelly If you gimme yours, too But don't you lie to me Don't you lie to me It makes me mad An I get evil as a man can be (kazoo & instrumental) I'll be with you 'Till the cows come home But mama, please don't let me Catch you gettin' down wrong And don't you lie to me Don't you lie to me Because it makes me mad An I get evil as a man can be But don't you lie to me Don't you lie to me Because it makes me mad An I get evil as a man can be. |
