Preistorijski crteži na krečnjačkim zidovima u pećinama Lasko u jugozapadnoj Francuskoj datiraju od pre 16000 godina, a slučajno su otkrivene tek 1940.godine. One su među najstarijim umetničkim delima. U okolnostima koje se danas čine neverovatno teškim, grupa ljudi smatrala je da je vredno truda naći način da u vizuelnom obliku prikažu svoje misli i iskustva.

Od 1508.do 1512.Mikelanđelo je oslikavao tavanicu Sikstinske kapele u Vatikanu, freskom ogromnih razmera, na kojoj su predstavljeni prizori zasnovani na Starom zavetu iz Biblije. Centralni prizor stvaranja prikazuje Boga kako se ispružio da bi dao život i energiju Adamu koji je na zemlji - energiju koja se prenosi ispruženim prstom.Adam koji je smatran modelom renesansne lepote, leži na zemlji.Deo njegovog tela je primio energiju, a ostatak je inertan.Najveličanstveniji prikaz čina stvaranja.

Mrtvi Mara

Slika koju je Žak-Luj David naslikao između jula i oktobra 1793.godine u Parizu, u vreme vladavine terora tokom Francuske revolucije.Slika prikazuje revolucionara Žan-Pol Maraa kako leži u kadi prekrivenoj umrljanim čaršavima, sa fatalnim ubodom na levoj strani grudi.U ruci mu je pero za pisanje, a prevrnuti kovčeg mu služi umesto radnog stola. Kompozicija i svetlo asociraju na kasnorenesansnog Hrista skinutog sa krsta; figura podseća na klasične skulpture. Ali ovi efekti su upotrebljeni da bi se stvorila slika ovozemaljskog modernog heroja i mučenika.

Jedan od najpoznatijih svetskih grafičara i dobitnik više od 50 nagrada i priznanja Mersad Berber (72) preminuo je noćas u Zagrebu, preneo je &amp;quot;Večernji list&amp;quot;.

Kako se navodi, slavni slikar i grafičar preminuo je iznenada u noći između neđelje i ponedeljka u svom domu, što je &amp;quot;Večernjem listu&amp;quot; u kratkom razgovoru potvrdila kućna pomoćnica porodice Berber.
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Berber je rođen 1940. godine u Bosanskom Petrovcu. Završio je Akademiju u Ljubljani 1963. godine i specijalni tečaj kod Rika Debenjaka 1965. godina.
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Od 1978. do 1982. godine predavao je na Katedri za crtež i grafiku Akademije likovnih umetnosti u Sarajevu.
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Njegovo delo &amp;quot;Byzantium III&amp;quot; krasi kolekciju Tejt galerije, a dobitnik je više od 50 nagrada i priznanja za svoj rad. Od 2007. godine član je Ruske akademije umetnosti.

	<description>Ulje, brašno, šećer, Mobtel?  Ne, nego Mone! U ponedeljak je zatvorena izložba posvećena čuvenom impresionisti u Parizu, koju je tokom četiri godine posetilo preko devet stotina hiljada ljudi. Tokom poslednja tri dana trajanja izložbe, muzej Gran Pale bio je non-stop otvoren za posetioce. Oko četrdeset hiljada ljudi videlo je tako izložbu u zadnji čas.

Declared as “sculpture”, they would only have been liable for 5% VAT.

But customs rejected this, and charged Haunch of Venison &amp;#163;36,000 duty. In 2008 Haunch appealed, and won: the VAT and Duties Tribunal ruled that such works were indeed “art” and only liable to 5% VAT.

Now the EC has overturned this decision.&lt;span style=&quot;font-weight: bold&quot;&gt; In its ruling a Flavin work is described as having “the characteristics of lighting fittings…and is therefore to be classified…as wall lighting fittings”.&lt;/span&gt; As for Viola, the video-sound installation, says the document, cannot be classified as a sculpture “as it is not the installation that constitutes a ‘work of art’ but the result of the operations (the light effect) carried out by it”.&lt;/cite&gt;

Tvrdeći da zbog svog poziva nije u mogućnosti da zadrži takva materijalna dobra, nudio ih je muzejima. Primaoci poklona su se prema njemu odnosili veoma velikodušno, zbog nagoveštaja da bi još neka slika mogla da završi kod njih. 	<description>Prilično sam sigurna da se na odeljenjima za istoriju umetnosti širom sveta ne izučavaju rimski renesansni bordeli. Ali, ako želite da budete dobar poznavalac Mikelanđela, na primer, morali biste znati ponešto i o tome. Tako barem smatra Elena Lacarini, italijanska istoričarka umetnosti, koja je iznela jedno škakljivo zapažanje u svojoj studiji. Ona smatra kako je za likove naslikane u Sikstinskoj kapeli Mikelanđelo modele potražio u rimskim javnim kućama, i to onim koje su opsluživale i homoseksualce, a u koje je umetnik često zalazio. U pitanju su nekakve banje, nalik današnjim tajlandskim salonima za &amp;quot;masažu&amp;quot;, ako sam dobro razumela.

	<description>Istoričar umetnosti i restaurator, Antonio Forčelino, smatra da je otkrio novo delo Mikelanđela. U pitanju je nedovršena slika na drvenoj podlozi sa predstavom piete, u privatnom vlasništvu jednog Amerikanca. Slika je deo nasleđa porodice, u kojoj se oduvek verovalo da je njen autor Mikelanđelo, odnosno Majk, kako su mu tepali.  Njen sadašnji vlasnik odneo ju je pre nekoliko godina na procenu Forčinelu, ekspertu za Mikelanđelove radove, i ukoliko je on u pravu, ovo bi moglo biti jedno od zanimljivijih otkrića u umetničkom svetu. Ostatak stručne javnosti je zasada skeptičan u pogledu ove atribucije.
