Dostupan je za preuzimanje Serbian � GNU/Linuks operativni sistem na srpskom jeziku. Ideja za ime projekta nije nova jer postoji skoro �est godina, a poti�e od jednog tada aktivnog Debian korisnika. Cilj je bio da se dobije stabilan operativni sistem koji �e biti lokalizovan na srpski jezik. Za osnovu je kori��en Debian u svojoj stabilnoj verziji, sa KDE grafi�kim okru�enjem. Serbian dolazi pode�en na �irili�nu varijantu, a kroz sistemske postavke mo�e biti odabrana i latinica, kao i ijekavica za obe varijante.

ISO slika koja je dostupna za preuzimanje je veli�ine 1.3 GB, a na njoj se pored uobi�ajenih programa koji dolaze uz KDE grafi�ko okru�enje, nalaze i kancelarijski paket LibreOffice, video plejeri VLC i SMPlayer, kao i audio plejer Audacious. U odeljku gde su programi za internet, mo�ete prona�i veb �ita�e Iceweasel i Chromium, kao i Skype. Od zna�ajnijih programa, tu su jo� Guvcview i GIMP. Prednost u izboru softvera imali su prevedeni programi.

Upravo sam ga instlirao preko virtuelne ma�ine.
�to se ti�e same instalacije, sve je isto kao i Debianu. Postoji grafi�ki i tekstualni instaler. Prevod je dosta dobro ura�en (ili barem mislim da je tako), zato sam i postavio nekoliko slikovnih prikaza tokom same instalacije, a i GRUB stvarno lepo izgleda.
U vezi imena Serbian, i to kada se Serbian pi�e na �irili�nom pismu (namerno sam stavio podnaslov takav kakav jeste, jer ne znam iz kojih razloga vlada mi�ljenje da je srpsko pismo isklju�ivo �irilica, �to je dosta �esta zabluda) nisam ba� siguran da je to najbolje re�enje, ali to vi�e manje i nije toliko va�no, bitno je kako on radi, i to kako �e da "legne" Xfce, Mate, Lxde i FluxBox grafi�ka okru�enja. Ideja da ide odmah KDE kao jedino i samim tim primarno grafi�ko okru�enje smatram da nije ba� najbolje re�enje, samo iz razloga jer KDE ve� tra�i preko 1 gb RAM-a, a i ne�to "ja�i" procesor. Npr. odmah se setim mog netbook-a sa solo Intel Atom procesorom koji radi na 1.6 Ghz, (RAM-a ima dovoljno za KDE, 2 gb DDR3) ali sa ovim procesorom KDE se vu�e, probao sam ve� na nekoliko distribucija. KDE na slabijem hardveru jedino mo�e prili�no dobro da radi ali u kombinaciji sa OpenBox prozornim menad�erom (tako�e isprobano na pomenutom par�etu hardvera).

Verovatno �u vremenom da postavim jedan video pregled GNU/Linuks Serbian distribucije.

Bitka za Vesnot (The Battle for Wesnoth)

Bitka za Vesnot je turn based strategija sa jakim elementima fantazije i RPG-a. Originalno inspirisana konzolnim TBS igrama koje su mo�da poznatije nekada�njim vlasnicima Sega igra�kih platformi: Master of Monsters i Warsong. U samoj pri�i to nije toliko vidljivo koliko u tehni�kim detaljima igre: oktogonalni pokreti i tekstualni introi jako podse�aju na starije PC/konzolne fantasy igre. Ali u motivima je o�igledan Tolkinovski uticaj i uticaj severnoevropske mitologije. Glavne rase su: ljudi (uklju�uju�i �arobnjake), vilenjaci, patuljci, orkovi (i goblini), nemrtvi i zmajevi. Tu su i druge rase koji nemaju va�niju ulogu u nekoliko glavnih kampanja: morski ljudi (sirene i "sirenci"), nage, ogrovi, saurijanci, trolovi, �umski duhovi - drve�a (woses - inspirisana Tolkinovskom mitologijom). Naravno, glavne rase imaju i svoje podvrste, koje dalje imaju svoje podvrste. Igra nije ravna i ima vrlo zanimljivu mitologiju. Iako pri�a nije uvek "glatka", mitologija u glavnim kampanjama ume da zadr�i vi�e pa�nje od same igre. Ne u smislu da igra nije dobra ili zanimljiva, ve� vi�e u smislu: "jedva �ekam da vidim kako se razvija pri�a".

Kampanje

Glavna i prvobitna kampanja je Heir to the throne (Naslednik prestola, �esto i skra�eno: HTTT). Pri�a o princu kojeg je kao dete od besa zle kraljice spasio stari �arobnjak i odveo ga vilenjacima na staranje. Na�a pri�a po�inje godinama kasnije, kad mladi princ i �arobnjak be�e pred naletom orkova na vilenja�ke �ume. Tada ova dru�ina, kojoj se kasnije pridru�uje poznati vilenja�ki princ i heroj (kao i nekoliko dodatnih likova koji zavise od na�ina kako odigrate prvih nekoliko epizoda u kampanji), kre�e u avanturu sa ciljem da vrate kraljevstvo zakonskom nasledniku i svrgnu zlu kraljicu (i usput raskinu savez kraljevstva Wesnotha i orkova). Ovo ih vodi kroz razli�ite predele: planine, �ume, ljudske tvr�ave i mnoge druge, u kojima upoznaju razli�ite vrste saveznike i nailaze na razli�ite vrste neprijatelja.

Pored glavnih kampanja, od kojih se ve�ina de�ava u ili oko perioda i li�nosti iz prve kampanje, postoji i mogu�nost preuzimanja velikog broja dodatnih kampanja sa interneta. Neke od ovih kampanja sadr�e i originalne likove, originalnu muziku i �esto neke akcije, aktivnosti ili elemente koje glavne kampanje nemaju (napr: postoji nekoliko rpg kampanja). Pored single player kampanja, Battle of Wesnoth sadr�i i nekoliko multiplayer kampanja koje mo�ete igrati sa prijateljima ili drugim net igra�ima. Naravno i ovde postoje dodatne kampanje koje je mogu�e preuzeti sa interneta.

Muzika

�to se ti�e muzike, Wesnoth sadr�i originalnu muziku inspirisanu srednjevekovnom i klasi�nom muzikom. Ono �to je zanimljivo je da se ona menja u zavisnosti od trenutnih de�avanja u igri. Tako da se razlikuje u zavisnosti da li ste vi u napadu ili neprijatelj, gde se odvija bitka, ko je neprijatelj, itd.

Grafika

Igra je nastala 2003. i iako je grafika dosta napredovala od prvobitne verzije, ipak je jo� uvek na nivou standardnih igara tog (ili ne�to ranijeg) perioda. Grafika nije toliko atraktivna i ne treba o�ekivati Skyrim. Bez obzira ovo ne ubija u�ivanje u igri za ve�inu igra�a. Ocene na (generalnim, nevezanim za Linuks) igra�kim sajtovima su generalno pozitivne i Wesnoth ponegde ima bolju ocenu i od nekih dosta poznatijih komercijalnih igara.

Dostupnost

Pored Linuksa, igra je dostupna i za Windows, Mac OS X i mnoge druge platforme (AmigaOS, RiscOS, itd).

Jo� malo o muzici u igri

S obzirom na odli�nu muziku nisam mogao da ostavim temu bez jednog malog dodatka. Moj izbor 6 najboljih muzi�kih tema iz igre:

Northerners

Po meni je prva tema epska i magi�na. Orkovski ratni bubnjevi na po�etku i orijentalni prizvuk odli�no hvata atmosferu opasnosti i pretnje. Mo�da i jedna od retkih tema koje bi bez problema mogao da stavim na svoju standardnu plejlistu.

Over the Northern Mountains

Ako se vratimo u srednji vek na anglo-saksonskim podru�jima, koja bi bila asocijacija na planine? Gor�taci sa �kotskih obronaka. U ovoj epskoj temi je o�igledan uticaj �kotske tradicionalne muzike. Ali tako�e i savr�eno odgovara periodu i situacijama u kojima je upotrebljena u igri.

Legend of the North

Opet ratni, prete�i, bubnjevi. Osora i osvaja�ka, ova tema prati najezdu mo�nog neprijatelja. Sna�ne orkovske trupe mar�iraju prema na�im junacima.

Elvish theme

Gotovo bo�anska i graciozna, ovo je prava vilinska tema. Ako zatvorite o�i mo�da �e pred vama za�iveti slike Tolkinovskog opisa vilenja�kog sveta.

Still another wanderer

Odli�na srednjevekovna putni�ka pesma. Kre�e polako i mirno, a zatim ubrzava i dobija na tempu, da bi na kraju ponovo usporila. Kao neki zami�ljeni put koji na�e junake vodi preko brdovitog predela i na �ijem zavr�etku bezbedno i �ivi sti�u na odredi�te.

Knalgan theme

Gruba, troma i namr�tena, ali ponosna tema. Na koga vas to podse�a? Ta�no, u pitanju su patuljci. Ova tema vas prati kroz podzemlje Knalge i avanture sa prijateljski naklonjenim (ali svejedno gun�avim) patuljcima.

Data Crow imports information directly from your music files and supports all the commonly used audio file formats. You can even play the music file from within Data Crow using your favorite audio player!

Books

Search for your titles in the Amazon database. Amazon has a huge database holding information on any kind of book. Data Crow retrieves descriptions, information about the author, year of release, average user rating, a front cover picture and more! Just like with all the other modules you can easily retrieve this information and ofcourse change it.

8. Hyper's CdCatalog (cdcat)

Citat:The cdcat is graphical (QT based) multiplatform (Linux/Windows/MacOS) catalog program which scans the directories/drives you want and memoryze the filesystem (including the tags of mp3's) and store it in a small file. The used license is GPL. The database is stored in a gzipped XML format, so you can hack it, or use it if necessary :-)

11. GamCat

Citat:GamCat is a CD/DVD and folder catalogue written in Gambas. It uses sqlite3 server for the database. All dependencies but one are invoked during the installation of the package: you must install the gambas2-gb-db-sqlite3 package manually.

It can browse inside the ARJ, ACE, TAR, RAR, and ZIP archives, but then it requires additional packages (unrar, unzip, unace, unrar) to be installed. The project is almost finished, hopefully the 0.0.28 version will be released within days. It will include abilities for multilingual support, and fix a minor bug.

U situaciji kada imamo mp3, ali ne mo�emo na�i tablature za isti, ili jednostavno �elimo da "skinemo" pesmu uz pomo� sluha, pomo�i �e nam slede�i softver u ovom odeljku. Procedura je jednostavna i sastoji se iz slede�ih koraka:

Archbang - Arch + Openbox

Archbang

U moru distribucija covek se tesko moze odluciti za neku posebnu, jer su sve sto se tice vizuelnog efekta manje-vise iste. Retko koja nam privuce paznju, sem ukoliko nije drugacija. Upravo to je ono sto cete prvo videti kada ugledate Archbang.

Archbang je relativno mlada distribucija i u sustini to je cistokrvni Arch linux sa Openbox menadzerom prozora.
Nakon pokretanja docekace vas dobro podesen sistem sa onim osnovnim programima, tek da mozete isti koristiti kao live distribuciju. Od programa tu su vam odmah na raspolaganju programi za kancelariju AbiWord, Gnumeric, za medije, gnome-mplayer, Graficki alati, Gimp, itd. Kao podrazumevani web browser dolazi Chromium. File manager je Thunar, dobro poznat sa XFCE okruzenja.
Instalacija se vrsi textualnim putem kao i Arch linux, ali je ovde ipak malo uproscenija.

Vizualni utisak je ocaravajuci.

Naravno odmah se vidi da se tu sto sta moze srediti i izmeniti. Od alata sve je vec tu. Obconf za podesavanje Openbox-a, Obmenu za podesavanje menija, Obkey za podesavanje precica.
Za panel je zaduzen Tint2, a za koji takodje postoji tintwizard, graficki alat za podesavanje istog.

Na desktopu je po default-u Conky u okviru kojeg je prikazano pored osnovnih stvari za koje je i predvidjen i unapred definisana lista precica putem tastature.
Moze se reci da je ovo jedna od retkih distribucija gde se sve moze raditi preko tastature, bez upotrebe misa.

Nakon igranja u live rezimu, presli smo na instalaciju na jednom, za danasnje uslove slabasnom racunaru. Instalacija je protekla bez ikakvih problema i krenuli smo u detaljnije ispotivanje. Sistem je jako lepo radio, sto smo i ocekivali. Ni u jednom trenutku nismo naisli na znake nestabilnosti. Vidi se da su ljudi ulozili dosta truda i mozemo reci da je ovo definitivno gotov proizvod.

Archbang bi smo po nasem misljenju svrstali u sam vrh, te je shodno tome i ostao kao glavni OS na racunaru na kome je i instaliran.

Nakon malo podesavanja moze se dobiti ocaravajuci sistem. Poigrali smo se malo i dobili sistem kao dole prikazan.

Kao sto smo rekli, ovo je Arch linux sa Openbox-om, te sve sto vazi za njega, vazi i za ovu distibuciju.

Ukoliko jos uvek niste nasli odgovarajucu distribuciju vasim potrebama, onda svakako uzmite u obzir i Archbang.

Ubuntu Kontrolni Centar je jednostavna aplikacija koja vam omogu�ava da lako i intuitivno upravljate opcijama va�eg Ubuntu linuksa. Inspirisan je Mandriva kontrolnim centrom i ima za cilj da centralizuje i organizuje glavne konfiguracione alatke dostupne u Ubuntu Linuksu.

Ubuntu Kontrolni Centar

Ubuntu Kontrolni Centar poku�ava da Ubuntu korisnicima olak�a upravljanje sistemom. Program sadr�i mogu�nost �uvanja razli�itih dostupnih konfiguracija, kao i instaliranje ve�eg broja dodatnih aplikacija. Nove aplikacije uklju�uju Hardinfo, Boot-up Manager, GuFW, Font-Manager i novi VGA-Switcher koji koristi vga-switchero modul kernela 2.6.35.

HardInfo je jednostavan alat koji prikazuje informacije o hardveru i operativnom sistemu va�eg ra�unara, vr�i benchmark testove i omogu�ava generisanje izve�taja u HTML ili tekstualnom formatu. GuFW, s druge strane predstavlja jednostavan i intuitivan na�in za upravljanje Linuks firewall pode�avanjima.

Boot-up Manager vam omogu�ava brzo pokretanje i zaustavljanje boot-up skripti, bez potrebe da se bak�ete sa kompleksnim linkovima i dozvolama. Font Manager je jednostavni program za upravljanje fontovima. Startup-Manager omogu�ava promenu pode�avanja i upravljanje temama za GRUB i USplash.

Nakon preuzimanja, jednostavno dvaput kliknite na DEB datoteku da biste je instalirali.

Iako jo� uvek nije u potpunosti dovr�en, Ubuntu Kontrolni Centar je definitivno jednostavniji od Gnome kontrolnog centra koji dolazi uz va� Ubuntu. Voleo bih da vidim ne�to sli�no Ubuntu Kontrolnom Centru u podrazumevanoj instalaciji Ubuntu Linuksa. Naravno, unapre�enu verziju kako po pitanju funkcionalnosti, tako i po pitanju upotrebljivosti. Ali ovakav interfejs je savr�en za mene.
