Napr: iz prethodnog posta "The story of the blues" serijala: "Don't lie to me baby" se često može čuti po bluz klubovima ili bluz svirkama. Postoje različite verzije. U rok (bluz-rok) muzici je najpoznatija ona koju je odradio Gary Moore.
Son House je imao još snažniji uticaj od Tampa Reda. Poslužio je za uzor mnogim veličinama (napr:Robert Johnson i Muddy Waters). Obe ovde okačene pesme su urađene i u rok verzijama.
Pesmu "John The Revelator" su obrađivali mnogi, ali najpoznatija verzija je ona koju je uradio elektro-pop sastav Depeche Mode.
