- Macrium Reflect now includes the option to create Windows PE 5.0 rescue media. Windows PE 5.0 is based on Windows 8.1 and provides the latest Windows kernel and driver database. Windows PE 5.0 rescue media can be created with all Windows operating systems except for Windows XP.
* Prompt for comment
- To enter a new Image comment when running an existing backup definition, select the backup definition and take the 'Run Now' > 'Prompt' context menu option and click the 'Comment' button.
# Bug fixes:
* Error when burning rescue media
- When burning a rescue CD/DVD the process could incorrectly abort with the message 'Please insert erasable or empty CD/DVD media'. This has been resolved
* Linux rescue CD build problem
- Problem with the rescue media creation wizard when building Linux based media. This has been resolved

* Additional error reporting
- If a backup failed due to the target directory being inaccessible then the error message wasn't sufficient to diagnose the cause. The message now includes the Windows error that corresponds to the failure.
* Incorrect driver architecture used when building Windows PE for the first time
- When manually adding drivers to the Windows PE rescue media build, the rescue wizard could load driver files for the wrong architecture (32 or 64 bit). This has been resolved

- The creation of USB rescue media has been significantly improved and now includes support for external USB hard disks
* Backup Performance
- Backup performance has been improved by 30% or more.
* GRUB2 Support
- Images now include GRUB2 support for Linux systems
* Destination Volume name now shown in the backup log.
- To assist in the identification of backup disks where multiple disks use the same drive letter the target drive Volume name is now shown in the backup log.
* MS recovery partition
- The Windows MS recovery partition is now included when selecting 'Backup Windows' in Windows 8.0/8.1.
* Improved time remaining granularity
- When the time remaining for a backup is less than 3 hours the display will now include minutes.
# Bug Fixes:
* SMTP server port saving error
- Changes made to the SMTP server port in the Macrium Reflect defaults could fail to be saved. This has been resolved.
* Problem when shrinking a restored incremental image
- When shrinking a partition during an incremental image restore the restored file system could require 'chkdsk' to correct file system errors. This has been resolved
* An error occurred mounting the Windows Image File
- A corrupt .zip extraction could cause rescue media creation failure with the message "An error occurred mounting the Windows Image File". This has been resolved

* Linux CD incorrect image information displayed
- On the initial page of the Linux restore wizard, Incremental and Differential image files were labelled as Full images. This has been resolved.
* Image mounting problem from a password protected network share
- When using Windows Explorer context menu to mount an image, if the share was password protected the the mount could fail. This has been resolved
* Improved Installer reliability
- Macrium Reflect installation could fail and rollback if the installation of the Reflect service failed due to Anti-Virus software blocking the installation. This has been resolved.
* Problem with File and Folder backup due to Russian locale
- When using Russian Windows, Files greater than 4GB in size would not combine to a single file in the restore process. This has been resolved.

- A confirmation dialog has been added to prevent accidental cancelling of Clone and Restore operations.
* Volume label added to the USB drop down when building rescue media
- To aide detection of the correct USB media when building a bootable USB stick the Volume label of the drive has been added to the selection box.
# Bug Fixes:
* UEFI boot problem when shrinking a GPT partition.
- Some customers have reported that when restoring and shrinking a UEFI booting system that the message "0x0000225 \winload.efi is missing". This has been resolved.
> If this issue affects you then please create fresh Windows PE rescue media after updating.
* Windows 8.1 Event error for ReflectService.exe
- The event "The description for Event ID 2 from source ReflectService cannot be found" was incorrectly posted to the Windows Event log in Windows 8.1. This has been resolved.

- When editing an existing File and Folder backup definition, the 'Exclude' filters may not be refreshed to reflect the filters currently in the definition. This has been resolved. Fixed crash when mounting a Microsoft Exchange backup:
- A program crash could occur when mounting an MS Exchange Backup. This has been resolved. Fixed "XML status is not valid" error:
- The message "XML status is not valid" could be displayed when loading paths with characters not included in the local Windows code page. This has been resolved.
