Robert Openhajmer, 1945.

—Delalande: Discours sur les ombres

Vladimir Nabokov never explicitly voiced any religious beliefs, but hints of such are to be found throughout his work, as the quote above by the fictitious philosopher Delalande shows. Nabokov’s answer to an interviewer’s query whether he believed in God was: “I know more than I can express in words, and the little I can express would not have been expressed, had I not known more." But in describing his mother’s beliefs in Speak, Memory (1967), he may well have been speaking for himself: “Her intense and pure religiousness took the form of her having equal faith in the existence of another world and in the impossibility of comprehending it in terms of earthly life. All one could do was to glimpse, amid the haze and the chimeras, something real ahead, just as persons endowed with an unusual persistence of diurnal cerebration are able to perceive in their deepest sleep, somewhere beyond the throes of an entangled and inept nightmare, the ordered reality of the waking hour.”

Harvey C. Mansfield, Jr. ::Education is a drawing-out, literally. It doesn't mean finding your roots in the sense of creating your values. Those things are pre-rational. Too many students nowadays come to universities to find out where they're coming from instead of where they're going. In education, your goal is more important than your roots.

Nju nije stvorila jedna rasa niti jedna država.
Arapi, muslimani, neki afrikanci idu tim putem. Mislim da je to veoma opasno

Citat:WASHINGTON, DC.- A new exhibition hall dedicated to the discovery and understanding of human origins will open next year at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. Based on decades of cutting-edge research by Smithsonian scientists, the David H. Koch (pronounced “coke”) "Hall of Human Origins" will premiere March 17, 2010, which also marks the 100-year anniversary of the museum’s official opening on the National Mall.

The $20.7 million exhibition hall will be complemented by ongoing human origins research and education programs, which are all key components of the museum’s broader initiative, "Human Origins: What Does It Mean to Be Human?" The initiative focuses on the epic story of human evolution and how the defining characteristics of the species have evolved over 6 million years as its ancestors adapted to a changing world. The museum will launch a compelling new Smithsonian Human Origins Web site and a revolutionary virtual experience hosted on the Blue Mars 2150 virtual Web site. It will include a complete reproduction of the physical exhibition plus additional features visitors can only experience on the Web.

Dakle, rezultat zavisi od zbira: George Soros + the Ford Foundation + the Rockefeller Foundation?

Very Happy

@tuzor - I stand corrected ;-)
