BitDefender Mobile Antivirus is desinged to scan and remove viruses on mobile devices. The Beta 1.0 works on the following types of mobile devices:
Windows Mobile Pocket PC versions 2002 and higher
Windows Mobile Smartphone versions 2002 and higher
Symbian Series 60 Smartphone


The product has two independent modules:
- BitDefender Mobile Antivirus: the program that runs on the mobile device
- BitDefender Mobile Antivirus Update Module: the program that runs on the PC. This software installs and updates the BitDefender Mobile Antivirus on your mobile device.



System requirements for the Update Module:

Pentium MMX 200 MHz or higher processor
Minimum 64MB of RAM Memory (128MB Recommended)
Minimum 40MB available hard disk space
A serial or USB port available

Windows 98/NT-SP6/Me/2000/XP
Internet Explorer 5.0 ( or higher)
Microsoft ActiveSync (for Windows Mobile)
Nokia PC Suite (for Nokia devices with Symbian OS)



Release notes

The antivirus engines are based on the award-wining BitDefender technologies.
The virus signatures can be updated directly from the device (GPRS system) or using the BitDefender Mobile Antivirus Update Module.

The product has been tested and is fully functional on the following devices:
- HP iPaq different models, Dell Axim x50
- Nokia 6680, 6600, 3230, 6260, N90
- Motorola MPx220


Installation Instructions

1. Download kit here (6.2 MB)

2. Install the kit on your PC. During the installation you will be prompted to select the type of mobile device that you own.

3. Install BitDefender Mobile Anitivirus on your mobile device.

- for Windows Mobile:
The installation package is transferred automatically via ActiveSync to the mobile device. If this method fails, you should copy manually BD-PocketPC.CAB or BD-SMARTPHONE.CAB from the installation folder (default C:\Program Files\Softwin\BDMobile_10) to the device and execute it.

- for Symbian
Copy the file BdMobile.SIS from the installation folder (default C:\Program
Files\Softwin\BDMobile_10) to the device using the communication software provided with the phone. The installation package is transferred as a message in your Inbox folder. Open the message and follow the instructions to complete the installation.


zatupili su ga malo zato sto nema jos posebno SIS filesa za symbian i tako to... Moras da skines ovih 6 mb da bi video BD mobile beta ..

Nije navedeno gore ali sad sam provalio da vam treba .NET famework v1.1

i ne radi na S60 v1.x symbianima!

I ja sam to ukapirao...
Inace nisam bas odusevljen, aplikacija je dosta prosta, nema skeeniranje u realnom vremenu a i nije se bas proslavila u otkrivanju virusa (u testu koji cu nadam se uskoro da postujem).
