hmm .. jel ja to prevideh ili više nema opcije 'stealth' ?
Sa aktiviranim opcijama u okviru 'proactive defence' mi je dolazilo
do 'upucavanja' OS'a prilikom pokušaja diskonektovanja sa neta ..

Dali je kod mene neka greska ili je nesto poslo naopako. Naime, kad je instaliran KAV 2006 ne funkcionise dobro KAH 1.8.183 - ne zatvara sve portove i ne drzi stealth.

kod nas ovde KAV Personal 6.0.0.252 beta2 sa KAH-om je i dalje "stealth" na svim onim testovima postovanim u temi "Look'n'stop"...

poboljsan update ? pa probao bih ja taj kav beta,ne znam samo kako je stabilan ?
Ako mi je nesto islo na zivce onda su updateovi iz local foldera.malo rade a malo ne rade.

Prilicno stabilno radi, tacnije za nekih 7 dana koliko se "vrti" KAV Personal 6.0.0.252 beta2 na jednoj od nasih masina nije bilo nikakvih problema, ali moram da naglasim da je BETA u pitanju i tu su iznenadjenja moguca...odluka je na tebi 
Sto se update-a tice, evo nekih detalja koje sam izvukao iz "help"-a koji dolazi uz program koji ti mozda pomognu u odluci da li da prelazis na betu ili da ostanes jos na KAV 5
From an update source, you can download updates for the threat signatures and Kaspersky Anti-Virus application modules. Update sources can be http- and ftp-servers, local or network folders. The main update source is Kaspersky Lab update servers.

To download updates from a local folder:
Click Add.
In the Specify an update source dialog box, select a folder or specify the full path to this folder in the Source field.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus adds a new update source at the top of the list and automatically marks this source as enabled (using a flag icon).
If several resources are selected as update sources, the application tries to connect to them one after another, starting from the top of the list, and retrieves the updates from the first available source. You can change the order of sources in the list using the Up and Down buttons.
To edit the list, use the Add, Edit and Remove buttons. The only type of sources you cannot edit or delete is the Kaspersky Lab update servers.
Yet another aspect that can be customized when updating threat signatures is the update format. The threat signatures include a special .xml file that describes the structure of the directories that contain the updates. This structure is used when updating signatures on your computer. The current threat signature update structure differs from the anti-virus database structure used by previous versions of Kaspersky Lab applications.
Should you need to support the structure or previous versions, when selecting an update source, check Support old update structure. The only thing that supporting the former structure will affect is the update speed; it will be slowed somewhat.
If you use Kaspersky Lab update servers as an update source, you can select the optimal server location downloading updates. Kaspersky Lab has servers in several countries. Choosing the Kaspersky Lab update server closest to you will save you time and download updates faster.
To choose the closest server, check By location and select the country closest to your current location from the dropdown list.

Ostao sam zbunjen nakon full scana kavom 6.Naime iako sam nekoliko dana ranije isključio System restore na svim particijama, pre deinstaliranja sam izvršio full scan i on mi je u System restore skenirao negde oko 640 fileova i pronašao Gatora u jednom .exe file-u. Nigde ništa nije našao osim ovog spyware-a.
Kako je moguće u isključenom System restoru pronaći bilo kakav malware?

Verovatno nisi izbrisao 'restore point'-e nakon isključivanja procesa.
Šta si to deinstalirao ?
Pogledaj u log'u tačnu lokaciju detektovanog fajla pa postuj.

Deinstalirao sam kav 6 jer je bugovao sa netom.
File je bio u System volume-u pod šifrom sa exe extenzijom.Mislio sam da nakon isključivanja System restora svi restor point-i se brišu pa čak i poslednji.

bobby ::Skinuh beta2 prekjuce, ali nisam jos instalirao.
Vidim da koristi Windows installer (MSI), sto je lose jer se taj installer veoma lako blokira (sto neki trojanci i rade).
Ima li neke sanse da se pojavi verzija koja ne zavisi ni od jednog Windowsovog servisa?
Jos razmisljaju oko ovoga - MSI svakako ostaje jer kazu da postoji mogucnost da nove generacije WIN OS-a budu "priznavale" kao sertifikovane samo instalacije sa MSI...
Osim toga, kazu da je i setup.exe jednako ranjiv na napad tog tipa i da ne bi nesto dodao bezbednosti...
Dakle, mozda bude i setup.exe kao izbor, ali ce svakako ostati MSI
