Film po imenu "Metallica Through The Never" je netipična filmska forma, jer se radi o kombinaciji koncertnog filma i izmišljene priče u kojoj igra glumac Dejn Dehan, koji za vreme koncerta kao član ekipe dobija hitan zadatak koji bi mogao da promeni tok nečijeg života.
Članovi benda Metaliica su otkrili da rade na 3D filmu u januaru 2012. godine, ali je od tada u javnost o tome stiglo vrlo malo informacija. Scenario i režiju potpisuje Nimrod Antal koji je radio na filmu "Predators" iz 2010. godine.
Predstavnici distributerske kuće "Pikčerhaus" saopštili su da su "Nimrod Antal i Metallica napravili film koji je uspeo da na platno prenese duh benda i njihovih vernih obožavalaca i da se radi o zabavnom igranom filmu koji u sebi sadrži koncert, u koji se odlično uklopio glumac Dejv Dehan.''
