How great of expectations you or someone else needs to have to break your mind ... or heart? Is it possible expecting too much of someone that just a thought of failure could drive them to insanity? Or is it just us who sets the limits, rules and laws and then break them or at least stretch them a bit? Or is it just the inspiration, some kind of simulation that we need in order to succeed?
Interesting book by Charles Dickens brings us a story on its own. Book of destiny, life, failure, honor, love, respect and disrespect, giving up and returning on a road of life again, this book is promising to keep you busy while it snows outside. smešak

Great Expectations

...

- “Not remember that you made me cry?” I asked.
- “No,” said she. “You must know that I have no heart – if that has anything to do with my memory.”
I said that I doubted that she had no heart. I sad that there could be no such beauty without it.
- “Oh! I have heart to be stabbed in or shot in, I am sure,” said Estella. “And, of course, if it ceased to beat, I should cease to be. But I have no softness there, no sympathy, sentiment, nonsense. If we are to be together often, you had better believe it at once.”

- “Love her,” she went on.” If she favors you, love her. If she wounds you, love her. I developed her into what she is so that she might be loved. Love her!”

- “I thought that Miss Havisham meant us for each other, and I know now that is not true. Still ... I love you.”
- “You would not be warned, although I tried,” she replied. “I am going to be married to Bentley Drummle. You will get me out of your thoughts in a week.”
- “Out of my thoughts!” I cried. “You are part of my existence, part of myself. You have been in every line I ever read., since I first came here, the rough common boy whose poor heart you wounded even then. You have been in everything I have ever seen – on the river, on the marshes, in the clouds, in the light, in the wind, in the woods, in the sea, in the streets. To the last hour of my life, you will be part of me.”

- I took her hand and held it to my lips. “Oh, God bless you,” I said. “God forgive you!”
