Slackcurrent
Citat:Slackcurrent is a package to check for newer packages installed on your Slackware box on the current set on some mirror site you select on a list.
It get the list of packages installed local, if needed update the list of remote files available on the mirror site, and compares they all. If some local package is outdated, you'll be informed about that.

Con le nuove funzioni introdotte kslackcheck compara i tuoi pacchetti installati con quelli
dei mirror di Slackware e permette di scaricare ciò che necessita alla tua slackbox
per upgradare manualmente in seguito.
ATT.NE -- Kslackcheck non installerà niente nel tuo sistema. Esso ti fornirà solo i pacchetti necessari.
L' upgrade a current è lasciato all'utente esperto, _che sa quello che sta facendo_
una lettura consigliata è il file UPGRADE.TXT che trovate nel vostro cd di installazione oppure nella
cartella doc di kslackcheck.

Slackware package inspector

My idea was to create an efficent tool in order to increase the knowledge of your system and not for give any automation in software installation process, as in Slackware philosophy.
SPI builds his berkeley database from different sources; they could be remote repositories (official or not, like slackware official mirrors , linuxpackages mirriors ecc..), local repositories, and obiouvsly from your current local installation.

Slacktool Project
