let's say we have an array mark_totals[11], and here is the data that is stored in the array.

mark_totals[10] = 1
mark_totals[3] = 1
mark_totals[5] = 1
mark_totals[8] = 1

if i now call a function -> histogram(mark_totals) , what will be the value of the mark_totals?

If you send a function parametar mark_totals then you send a first element of the array. mark_totals is mark_totals[0].
