SAINT PAUL, MN - (January 9, 2007) - CodeWeavers, Inc., the leading Windows-to-Linux software developer, today announced the release of CrossOver Linux 6.0, its latest upgrade to the number one product for running Windows applications natively within the Linux operating system. Incorporating substantially improved support for many popular games, including World of Warcraft and many Steam titles (such as Half-Life 2 and Counterstrike), CrossOver Linux now offers Linux users more flexibility than ever to run the Windows applications they need.

New Games Capability
World of Warcraft, the most popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) is a cornerstone of this effort. Better Support for Existing Applications, Too
In addition, CodeWeavers has also honed its support for such popular productivity applications such as Office 2003. CrossOver now supports native connections to Exchange Servers via MS Outlook. In addition, products such as MS Project® 2003 and MS Visio® 2003 are now supported.
Product Renamed from CrossOver Office to CrossOver Linux
CodeWeavers' flagship Linux compatability tool had heretofore been known as CrossOver Office. However, with the simultaneous release of CodeWeavers CrossOver Mac product at MacWorld in San Francisco, the company has clarified the naming of its products to indicate the specific platform supported; hence the retirement of the CrossOver Office name and the creation of CrossOver Linux and CrossOver Mac.
