Friends, help me please with translation of this song by Zeljko into English, or Russian if somebody knows either of these languages. We in Ukraine were very impressed by this song, Lane Moje, at Eurovision.
What is the language the song is written in? I’ve heard that Serbian is in Cyrillic, so your language is seems to be not Serbian.
Может кто-то из вас понимает по-русски? Або розмовляє українською?
Тогда мы могли бы общаться на одном из этих языков. Ваш язык мне, в принципе, понятен, но далеко не все.

For the info, Serbian uses both Latin and Cyrilic alfabets.
About the lyrics, I hope that somebody from our forum members knows English better than me. I use to know Russian, but that was a long time ago.

Great thanks to you all! I'm impressed by your quick answers and especially by your virtual hospitality  .
The song is even more touchable than I thought.
What is the difference between languages of Yugoslavia, such as Serbska, Hrvatska, Macedonian etc.? Recently I found one nice poetry verse in Macedonian and I understood it almost easily without translation, but Lane Moje song is not suchlike.
P.S. It is funny that slavs-brothers speaking English as the intermediary language .

Ex-Yugoslavia had 3 official languages: Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian and Macedonian.
Slovenian is more Czech, Slovak, Polnish-alike.
Serbo-Croatian was language of Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Montenegro and it isn't alike to any other Slavic language.
Macedonian is more Bulgarian-alike.
You had a question about Latin/Cyrilic. Serbo-Croatian was something between Serbian (cyrilic) and Croatian (latin). From that reason both alfabets are used with no privileges. Today's Serbian as a consequence uses both alfabets. On other hand, in ex-Yu a lot of people got more familiar with latin writing so here we are - using latin more than cyrilic writing.
