It was common practice for the head of a traitor to be held up and exhibited to the crowd with the words "Behold the head of a traitor!" Although Charles's head was exhibited, the words were not used. In an unprecedented gesture, one of the revolutionary leaders, Oliver Cromwell, allowed the King's head to be sewn back onto his body so the family could pay its respects. Charles was buried in private on the night of 7 February 1649, inside the Henry VIII vault in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The royal retainers Sir Thomas Herbert, Capt. Anthony Mildmay, Sir Henry Firebrace, William Levett Esq. and Abraham Dowcett (sometimes spelled Dowsett) conveyed the King's body to Windsor. The King's son, King Charles II, later planned an elaborate royal mausoleum, but it was never built.

During the reign of his son Charles II, Charles was venerated a Saint by the Anglican Church. He is considered a martyr who died for the preservation of Apostolic Succession in the Anglican Church. There are many societies dedicated to his devotion. Besides the Biblical and Roman Catholic Church saints that the Anglicans venerate on their calendar, Charles is the only person ever officially venerated by the Anglican Communion.

Hvala.
Bavio se režijom, pisanjem scenarija, s početka i baletom, ali je najviše ostao upamćen po umetničkim fotografijama iz ratnih vremena.

Odesa, Carska Rusija (danas Ukrajina), 4. avgust 1910. - Beograd, 30. oktobar 1997.
Filmski snimatelj, režiser, scenarista i fotograf-umetnik. Gimnaziju i baletsku školu završio u Zagrebu. Nekoliko godina nakon Oktobarske revolucije, 1922. sa roditeljima se doselio u Srbiju. Pohađao rusku školu u Beloj Crkvi. Godine 1930. stupio u Hrvatsko narodno kazalište u Zagrebu kao baletski igrač. Fotografijom se bavio amaterski, od 1935. godine.
Od 1936. delovao kao član Foto kluba Zagreb.[1] U predratnom razdoblju predmet njegovog zanimanja su portreti, predeli i akt fotografije. Vrlo aktivan na izložbama, naročito inostranim, pa je ubrzo, 1937. proglašen za majstora fotografije i “prvaka u umetničkoj fotografiji”.

Pavle I Petrovič Romanov (rus. Павел I Петрович, 1. oktobar 1754—23. mart 1801) je bio ruski car od 1796. do 1801. godine. Prožet idejama viteštva, branio je Maltu i od Napoleona i od Velike Britanije i pružio je zaštitu malteškim vitezovima. Postao je i veliki majstor malteških vitezova.
