U logwatch mejlu su mi se pojavile informacije o Kernel module scsi Begin.

googlajuci, nisam nasao mnogo informacija, uglavnom su bile vezane za SUN.

Osim toga, pojavilo se i nesto pod Kernel Begin. O tome sam nasao nesto vise informacija. Na prvi pogled izgleda da nije toliko opasno, ali moracu i to dataljnije da proucim.
Interesuje me da li neko ima iskustva sa ovim. Bio bih vrlo zahvalan za sve ideje. U prilizenom se vidi jedan deo iz Logwatch-a.

Bilo bi korisno da si postavio i konfiguraciju računara.
SATA? RAID? Koji nivo RAIDA? Ili je u pitanju SCSI?

Pogledaj da li ima neceg relevantnog u sistemskim logovima:

Ako su u pitanju SMART diskovi, proveri ih za greske:
smartctl  -d ata -A /dev/xx
Ukoliko na tvom sistemu ne postoji smartctl, pogledaj ovde:

Ako koristis RAID, probaj sa:
cat /proc/mdstat

Vezano za ovu AFT0 gresku... Preporucio bih ti da restartujes racunar i pokrenes test memorije iz BIOSa. Ukoliko u tvom BIOSu ne postoji test memorije, probaj sa ovim:

Izgleda (nisam stigao da proverim jer se pojavio jedan drugi problemcic u medjuvremenu) da je u pitanju HP Smart Array.

Nisam imao iskustva sa HP Proliant serverima. Malo sam prelistao net i nasao zvanicnu razvojnu stranu drajvera za Smart Array, skinuo manual strane dijagnostickih alata koji su pomenuti na stranici i sazvakao sve to u nekoliko redova:

Proveri status fizickih diskova u "array":
cciss_vol_status -p
Za vise informacija pogledaj manual.

Proveri da li je pokrenut cpqarrayd. Ako jeste, iskljuci ga i pokreni sa "-d -f". Ovo ce izbacivati debug output na stdout. Mozda pokaze i neku korisnu poruku.
cpqarrayd -d -f

Ukoliko imas instaliran program arrayprobe, pokreni ga sa opcijama:
arrayprobe -r

To zajedno sa outputom smartctl iz gornjeg posta bi trebalo da ti da sasvim dovoljno outputa za dijagnostikovanje u cemu je i gde je nastao problem.

Ukoliko negde dijagnostikujes problem, znaces na koju stranu treba dalje gledati. Btw, koliko je diskova vezano u array?

instalirao sam cciss_vol_status.


./cciss_vol_status -p /dev/cciss/c0d0

3 diska su vezana u array.

nisam napomenuo da se ovo desava samo kad rebootujem server, sto je bitno.

koristi se syslog-ng. nisam ukapirao gde syslog-ng loguje. verovatno je logwatch podesen tako da uzima podatke iz vise fajlova, httpd. kernel, Kernel module scsi, itd pa onda sve to skupi i posalje kao mejl. to ja sad samo predpostavljam.

cpqarrayd i arrayprobe nisam uspeo da pokrenem. prilikop pokusaja da instaliram:

AFT0 je vezano za memoriju. Memorija na serveru ima ECC i javlja da nešto u tom tenutku nije bilo u redu. AFT0 su samo informacione poruke. One izveštavaju da je nađena ispravljiva greška koja je i ispravljena. S druge strane to može značiti i da je neki od memorijskih modula blizu toga da ode u večna lovišta. Ne poznajem arhitekturu HP Proliant servera, tako da je moguće da postoji i drugačiji način organizacije memorije kao što su memorijske ploče i sl.

Drugi deo ukazuje na problem sa RAID kontrolerom. Osnovna stvar koju možeš uraditi i bez softverske provere je provera da li je kabl u redu. Recimo, ako su u pitanju S-ATA diskovi Pokušaj da promeniš S-ATA kabl.

SUN72G ukazuje na greške na Seagate-ovim HDovima sa SUN-ovim firmwareom. Koji je tačno disk u pitanju ti ne bih znao reći. Sa ovakvom konfiguracijom nisam imao iskustva. Po izlazu bih posumnjao na disk br. 2.

Mada se u ovim redovima ne nalazi nikakav konkretan izveštaj o grešci. Što ne znači i da ga nije bilo. Možda je LogWatch odsekao taj deo.

Proveri podešavanja LogWatcha i iz kog fajla izveštava o ovim greškama. Zatim ustanovi koji servis loguje te greške. Većina servisa ima i debugging ili verbose mode funkcionisanja. Pokreni servis na taj nacin i obrati paznju na greske.

Ali ono što je stvarno najpametnije je pozvati tehničku podršku prodavca servera i proveriti. Ako je server u nekom hosting centru, pozvati njihovu tehničku podršku ili im poslati email. Ukoliko prodavac ne nudi tehničku podršku ubuduće dobro obratite pažnju od koga kupujete serverski hardver.

kupicu i rezervne memorije da se nadje.

malo pre sam dobio odgovor iz HP direktno, ne preko dilera. iz prilozenog (isto sto sam ovde ostavio) su zakjucili da je problem u vezi sa SW ane sa HW.
hmm... nista idemo dalje.

nikakvo objasnjenje, samo da su prosledili dalje i da su tehnicari iz prilozenog konstatovali da je SW. inace garancija jos vazi.
