|ArThAs| ::SSpin ::Do you be only in Belgrade?
Ispravka: R u goin' to stay only in Belgrade?
If u want to see some beautiful sghts in Belgrade, then you better take a tour in one of the famous sightseeing agency in Bg. As u can see from my avatar, I'm from Nis, so I can't help u too much.
Anyway, the biggest attractions in Bg are night clubs and discoes...
So if u have friends in Bg, and enough money to spent on drinks , all I can say is that u shall go out at night, at one of those clubs and discoes
If You can advise me some other cities, I go there:) I just want to discover Serbia:)
If I had friends in Beograd, I shouldn`t ask about this city here:)

If you want to 'taste' Serbia while in Belgrade, I reccomend the restaurant "Dacho" in Karaburma district... Address is Patrisa Lumumbe 40-and-something, but if you tell a taxi-driver you want "Dacho na Karaburmi", almost every one will know... (pronounce 'ch' as in 'CHalk'). The place is 'decorated' like a Serbian country house, with all the tables and chairs different, all the plates, glasses, forks, knives and spoons different from each other... Do not order more than you can eat though, at this restaurant the meals are enormous!!! I reccomend "Manastriska snicla" (Monastery steak), or "Punjeni raznjici" (if anyone can translate this one into English, feel free to try).
There are new signs made for tourists all around the Belgrade downtown, you can use them to 'navigate' towards the points of interest. I reccomend Skadarlija at night, on the signs it is refered to as 'the bohemian quarters'... It bears the spirit of old Belgrade (before WWII). Skadarlija is not a big street, it has many good restaurants, bars, cafe's and pubs. For good meal I reccomend "Ima dana" or "Dva jelena", although any one you pick is good.
Nice place at sunset is Kalemegdan fortress, where the "Victorian" monument is (in Serbian - "Pobednik"), taking that the weather is nice and bright...
Sites of interest for you may also be the St. Sava Temple at Vracar (the 2nd biggest orthodox church in the world - for all the others, church of Christ the Savior in Moscow is bigger...), Ada Ciganlija (for hiking and sports, or if you want to cool down from the city heat), or if you are interested, the ruins of the recent bombings...
For night life, it depends on your own interests... Most places work till 2AM, some even after that (taxes for that work time are high so not many places work all night).
And if you want to discover the whole Serbia, I'll leave others to tell you, as I am from Belgrade and do not know many cities around Serbia and their life style...
(the thing I am in Moscow now does not need to concern you, I'm here only a month and a half, but 27 years b4 that I've lived in Belgrade)

Citat:Maybe You should advice me a place to stay in Beograd:)
Well, that depends on how much money you want to spend... The nicest hotels close to the center of the city are "Moscow" (what an coincidence ), and "Palace", though I reccomend "Metropol" as a good one not very far (about 30 mins on foot from center). The most expencive ones are "Inter-continental" and "Hyat Regency", but they both are on the other side of the river Sava, in New Belgrade district, not far from center, but with Belgrade transportation its far enough...
Citat:f You need any information about Moscow just ask me by PM or by email.
Thanx, if anything is needed I will, though I have a sister who lives here for 2 years... If she doesn't know what I need, I'll ask you. Thanx!
