Problem sa rezolucijom ekrana pod Ubuntuom

Ma Ubuntu je nezamenjljiv
Malo pre mi je zavrsio update sistema
Ima OGROMANU bazu programa u Synapticu (ja sam moj podesio na glavni Ubuntu-oc server)

DA ne otvaram novu temu
Interesuje me samo jedna stvar
Imam GeForce MX440
Enable-ovao sam je u Restricted driver manager-u,skinuo i instalirao drajvere
Medjutim na maksimalnoj rezoluciji 1280*1024 ne mogu da dobijem refresh rate veci od 50MHz
Jel zna neko resenje,posto jos dva dana sedenja ispred takvog monitora (Samsung SyncMaster 920N) i ja cu oslepeti

Okaci molim te /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Koji monitor koristis?

Pronađi u /etc/X11/xorg.conf Section Monitor i tu upiši refresh rate koji podržava tvoj monitor (to možeš proveriti na instalacionom disku koji si dobio uz njega). Npr. taj deo kod mene izgleda ovako:

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "1705 S1"
Option "DPMS"
HorizSync 31 - 80
VertRefresh 56 - 75
EndSection

ovo HorizSync i VertRefresh su te vrednosti. A editor pogrećeš sa:

sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Otvorio sam terminal,pokrenuo xorg.conf,nasao sekciju Monitor,i sada treba samo da iskopiram ovo
HorizSync 30.0 - 81.0
VertRefresh 56.0 - 75.0
Option "VendorName" "SAMSUNG"
Option "ModelName" "SyncMaster 920N"

I da sacuvam

I trebam da restartujem sistem?

Najvaznije su ti opcije HorizSync i VertSync. Ako ne postoje u sekciji monitor dodaj. Ako postoje zameni novim vrednostima.

Inace, moras editor da pokrenes kao root. To mozes uraditi koristeci opciju "run" iz menija ili otvaranjem gnome terminala i kucanjem:

sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Zatim restartuj graficko okruzenje pritiskom na Ctrl+Alt+Backspace i to je to.

Nesto sam lose ispisao u xorg.conf i sada nece da mi pokrene linux
Izacuje neki Fatal Error
Pomagajte sto pre,gusi me ovaj Windows

Ovako... Instaliraj Explore2fs http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/explore2fs.htm i sa njime iskopiraj /etc/X11/xorg.conf u Windows, a zatim ga okaci uz odgovor na ovu temu.
