"I apologize" = "Primite moje izvinjenje".

bobby, I'm sorry to have to tell you that you are not quite right about this one... smešak

Mozhe i sorry kada smo mi krivi, itekako.

1. apologize, also spelled apologise in British English.
When you apologize to someone, you say that you are sorry that you have hurt them or caused trouble for them. You can say 'I apologize' as a formal way of saying sorry.
I apologize for being late...
He apologized to the people who had been affected.

2. a) You say 'Sorry' or 'I'm sorry' as a way of apologizing to someone for upsetting them or causing them difficulties.
Sorry I took so long...
I'm really sorry if I said anything wrong...
She came into my room and said she was sorry.

b) You use I'm sorry or Sorry as an introduction when you are telling someone something that you do not think they will want to hear, for example when you are disagreeing with them, or giving them bad news.
Sorry - no baths after ten o'clock...
I'm sorry to have to tell you that Janet West is dead.

c) If you are sorry about a situation, you feel regret, sadness, or disappointment about it.
She was very sorry about all the trouble she'd caused.

d) You use the expression I'm sorry to say to express regret together with disappointment or disapproval.
This, I am sorry to say, is almost entirely wishful thinking.

e) You say 'I'm sorry' to express your regret and sadness when you hear sad or unpleasant news.
I've heard about Mollie - I'm so sorry.

f) ... sorry for someone ...
g) ... sorry for himself ...

h) You say 'Sorry?' when you have not heard something that someone has said and you want them to repeat it.

i) You use sorry when you correct yourself and use different words to say what you have just said, especially when what you say the second time does not use the words you would normally choose to use.
...refugees (sorry, economic migrants) who refuse to return to Vietnam...

3. a) An excuse is a reason which you give in order to explain why something has been done or has not been done, or to avoid doing something.
It is easy to find excuses for his indecisiveness...
Once I had had a baby I had the perfect excuse to stay at home

If you say there is no excuse for something, you are emphasizing that it should not happen, or expressing disapproval that it has happened.
Solitude was no excuse for sloppiness.

b) To excuse someone or excuse their behaviour means to provide reasons for their actions, especially when other people disapprove of these actions.
He excused himself by saying he was 'forced to rob to maintain my wife and cat'...
That doesn't excuse my mother's behaviour.

c) If you excuse someone for something wrong that they have done, you forgive them for it.
Many people might have excused them for shirking some of their responsibilities.

d) If someone is excused from a duty or responsibility, they are told that they do not have to carry it out.
Some MPs will have been officialy excused attendance.

e) If you excuse yourself, you use a phrase such as 'Excuse me' as a polite way of saying that you are about to leave.
He excused himself and went up to his room.

You use excuse me or a phrase such as 'if you'll excuse me' to indicate that you are about to leave, or that you are about to stop talking to someone because you need to do something else.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do.

[ ovo je nashe "Izvinite me" ili "Ako biste me izvinili (na trenutak)..."
Note: razlika izmedju "Izvinjavam se" i "Izvinite me" ]

f) You say 'Excuse me' when you want to politely get someone's attention, especially when you are about to ask them a question.
Excuse me, but are you Mr Honig?

g) You use excuse me to apologize to someone when you have disturbed or interrupted them.
Excuse me interrupting, but there's a thing I feel I've got to say.

h) You use excuse me to apologize when you have done something slightly embarrassing or implote, such as burping or sneezing.

i) You say 'Excuse me? to show that you want someone to repeat what they have just said. The usual British expression is pardon or I beg your pardon.

[ ^^ mozhe i kada je u pitanju "sablazhnjavanje" ]
